For those who don't want to watch the video, there was a pilot for the reboot actually done by the original creator. Looks great despite the cg. Only airing once 7 years ago in south east Asia. I actually want this.
This show used to frighten me as a kid lol. I don't know if it's just me but I hate CG reboots. I really personally prefer traditional animation in comparison. It just looks far better to me.
I'd like a reboot, but I don't trust CN to do it justice, honestly.
Besides, how can it be a reboot of a nostalgic television series if it's not live action, overtly-cynical, and overladen with "adult" humor that only 12 year olds would find humorous? Absolutely terrible.
I loved courage the cowardly dog! I sometimes re-watch it as an adult. I don't think I would want a reboot though, when the VA for Eustace died I felt like the replacement VA was too different. I don't like the idea of the reboot not having the OG voice actors but it's just not possible. Also while I don't have anything against CG art, I prefer the OG animation of Courage as it was unique imo
The weird thing about this show is that I absolutely loathe horror, but this show rarely if ever actually scared me, so I actually liked it. I found a lot of it to be just downright hilarious. The episode called "Hothead" (IIRC) was the best. It made me laugh so hard as a kid.
Reboots of 90s/early 00s cartoons haven't really ever worked out, though. Lets be honest. It just seems kinda cursed right now. Lol. (However, Rocko's Modern Life had a very good special a couple of years ago, and I heard the Invader Zim one was good as well.)
I'm surprised they didn't do this sort of thing when Courage was actually on TV.
EDIT: Upon actually watching the trailer, it's probably not a good sign that it overwhelmingly focuses more on Scooby than Courage. That is to say, Muriel doesn't get a single line in the trailer.
