Could you give me advice on how to improve my town?

Not sure if this is the right forum.. My town is a work in progress. Right now I need help with these things:

• Where to place my police station? I have leopard print patterns on the ground near the town plaza where I am considering placing it but I'm not sure! Somewhere on the left side of town definitely.
• What to do with the empty space in front of the cafe?
• What to do with the left side of town? All of the buildings are concentrated on the right side so I have a lot of room to play around with.
• What do you think of my campsite area & the lil space in front of lolly & chester's house?

Cute map. The small river gives you a lot of room to work with.

Of the two possible locations you have marked for your police station the one directly north of the town plaza would be better than the one slightly to the left and behind the lake. Another possible location I liked was placing the police station in the top left corner of the town. Near the ramp down to the beach. You have enough room to the left of the rock, and personally I like the police station near the town hall.

I would say you should move your zen garden to the empty space in front of the cafe. If you don't mind having to demolish it and paying to have it built again. It looks a little too cluttered in front of Lolly & Chester's house.

The campsite area needs something to the right of it. Perhaps a log bench and little pine forest, or a fire pit and some stumps around it as seating.

As for what to do with the left side of your town? Maybe make the whole area between the plaza and town hall a large park with a playground area (Sandbox, Jungle Gym, Tire Toy), picnic area near the lake (Picnic Blanket and lots of flowers), and a trail going around it lined with a few benches, a garbage can, a drinking fountain, and maybe an Archway Sculpture.

I like your idea about the police station by the cliff. I'll try it out.

I think I'm going to move the zen garden & put a 1-square PWP smaller in its place.
haha I was actually planning to put the log bench & the bonfire by the campsite once I unlock them. nobody has suggested me it yet! I can't do pine trees cuz it's on the south side of town I'm mad about that
