Cotton candy themed, or nah?

So I had a theme going for my current town, and that theme was cotton candy colors. I had a pretty pink and blue path going along, my home was themed pink and blue, with my 2 side character's themes being blue and purple and purple and pink, I had lots of reds/whites/pinks in terms of flowers going around my town, alone with tiles that matched said theme.

...And now I'm not so sure.

I dunno, it feels like by going with this theme I'm being really generic when it comes to everyone else having these kinds of town themes. I tried to say "eh, who cares, I like it so why not" but I can't help but worry that everything just looks too tacky and overall bad. Here are some screencaps from my town:


I'm just incredibly lost on what exactly I should do. Hell I already hauled out all my paths and trees, save for the area around my home, to give myself a fresh start especially since I didn't like how my paths were handled and now I'm just lost on whether or not to keep going with this theme or do something else. I don't even know WHAT that something else would be. I have no creativity whatsoever and it's kind of driving me insane.

They're quite pretty, but perhaps you can have a flowery path? And when you need small paths you could use clovers

The pink and blue paths are perfect, but I would go with a more pastel colors for the flowers, like white & pink carnations, tulips, purple and blue pansies.

i think it looks really cute, but if you don't feel so sure i think you should try to mix it up a little!! maybe change paths or change up the flowers with some new colours and see how you like it.

Sometimes its nice to have a single path that leads to areas. I have lots of different paths but they all stick to the theme of my town, which is very pink. I kept the flowers colour co-ordinated with the surroundings. I like the way you put the purple and white flowers around the wisteria trellis. I changed my landscape several times until I was completely happy with it. But as long as you like your town that's the most important thing.

Hearing some positive feedback on the paths really lifted my spirits, so thank you guys! I'm actually going to be going with a sweets themed town, with a bit of classical nature mixed in the bunch~
