Cotl, That Sky Game: Children of the Light, What is it? Is it worth it?

I hope I have the title of the game right and that I'm not confusing it with another game.

So, what is CotL? What kind of game is it? Do you fight bosses? What's the plot, what do I do? Explain basically everythin about it to me, as I know next to nothing.

An artist I follow plays it and it looks cool, but I only ever see screenshots of like scenery stuff, out of bounds fun and sometimes online co-op. Apparently there's a shop where you can buy clothing items? And you can play instruments, one of them being an ocarina?

Bumping this from the D E D cause even after reading the description in the Eshop, I'm still not sure what they heck you do in this game. Light candles?

I saw that the game is free, but there is a 35$ pack that includes candles and a piece of clothing. Also there's seasonal clothing, hats and worlds in game? Does that cost any money?

It looks cool and scenic, but I'm not sure if it has a 'story mode' type thing or it's a game that you can just fly around in with no end goal.
