Thanks Renn! They are the same character in sort of a Dread Pirate Roberts kind of way. The red haired Roxie is my New Leaf mayor and the black haired one is my NH Island representative.

You would think that wearing a mask makes a portrait easier, but no... XD
I had a lot of fun experimenting with the lights on all the characters... to the point that I stopped learning and was just enjoying myself, so my attempt at practicing kinda fails, lol.
