Okay, I have had 2 japanese people leave because I don't speak their language. If you don't want people who speak english or any other language to play with you, how about "you don't choose international"?

Are you sure it was because you didn't speak their language? Some of them will just come, check out the items, maybe buy something and then leave. It is pretty annoying, though.

Half the time even if I go international, people come then almost instantly leave. I don't judge though, because i've done the same thing looking for silver axe/certain items. lol Don't blame them.

Nope! The first time, I was with three people, one was japanese and the other one was american so we were able to say things to each other. We did a few tours together and then we went outside of the hut to catch some bugs and fish. Me and the american dude was showing off our designs and she went back into the hut, started a tour and did it without us.

The next time, I was with another japanese person. I asked them if he spoke english (I just wanted to know) and he said no. I tried to do a tour with him, but he didn't want to do a tour with me. I then told him to choose one himself and he said he can't speak english. After that he said sorry and left.

Now I am guilty of leaving someone on the island. However, it wasn't because I don't speak their language. It's mostly if I find it hard to communicate with them as a whole. One time I was playing with an american and eventually he left. I wanted to leave but a japanese person popped up. I asked her if she spoke english. She said no and then yelled NO. I also couldn't get her to play a tour with me and on top of that, the souvenir selection sucked so I decided to leave to play with someone else. I didn't bother saying anything to her sincs you probably would wonder what I'm saying anyway.

You just had to mention that did you? I just recently experienced this after you said this.

I do that sometimes, but I don't just leave. I make sure to say Hi and talk to them for a bit then ask if I can buy the item I want.

I just go there to check the shop inventory, I don't leave based on racism or anything like that XD I'm just not there to stick around :P

I always go international because if I chose "only my country" there's a greater chance that I would get placed in an instance with someone who would want to talk. Why else would you choose to only be paired with someone who speaks the same language. I know that people also go to the international island to socialise, but I figure the percentage is lower than on the single country island.

Do you go to a different island each time? I'm still trying to find a silver axe

Yeah. You could go back and forth to get a different selection each time.
I learned that the hard way. I thought I could come back later and get that item I wanted that I didn't have enough medals for. Nope.

When I first started visiting I'd see one or two people and we'd say Hi and then leave each other alone to do our own things. But now, maybe because everyone has gotten what they need from the Club, I don't see anyone when I visit.

My experience has been good so far. I have met people who do not speak English and we have had such a laugh trying to figure out what the other is trying to say. Hilarious!

I have also had tours with those who speak Japanese and have enjoyed them. I sometimes get in and out with the aim of purchasing certain items but always say 'Hi and bye' to those there. Others also do the same. I have not had a rude encounter.

International is busy server where people come and go for shopping.
I usually go there to shop too. I meet some Japanese players, though I can't read their language I ask them if they can write it in romanji (ABC alphabet) so I can understand them. Sometimes it works and mostly don't lol. Not many Japanese know how to speak English which make it hard to communicate.

club tortimer is so full of crap anyway.
sometimes i forget this is a game for little kids
this is how one convo i had played out:
them: hi
me: hello
them: how old r u
me: 16
them: im 8 do u like me
me: *walks into the shack and up to the counter*
them: are you leaving
me: *leaves*

also, some person tried to scam me. they told me they could clone bells so i gave them a 99,000 bag to see what they would do because that obv BS and they told me to start a tour. i tested them by starting one and pretending to go sit down and she got right out of her seat when i walked up to mine. then i DC'd lmao.
