Sorry if there's another thread like this; I couldn't find it D:

I was excited to get the membership because I like playing island games, and it's more fun to play them with other people. I think it's a more enjoyable to earn medals with friends XD So I went to the club and there was someone who asked me to buy them items (which I may have if I'd had the medals I suppose, but I didn't have very many and then asked if they'd like to play games because I needed to earn medals haha). They were angry and said a few mean things, and then told me to leave. Yikes! Just as a general question, how have your experiences been with Club Tortimer? Or does anyone even use this feature of ACNL?

I run into a lot of kids who are really forward and ask personal questions, seemingly just to make you uncomfortable. That said, I've run into several people who are actually quite nice and I still have over for visiting and whatnot :) And of all the people who I've had over, only one was rude and stole some of my hybrids and decorative mushrooms.

I only did Club Tortimer once and had non-English speakers, haha. It doesn't interest me much tbh since I'd rather play with people I already know and trust.

I've experienced kids too(they're a bit odd haha) but mostly I've had good experiences(no rudeness etc.) in club Tortimer. c:

I've had a few people try to hold me hostage for bells or items. However, if you pretend to enjoy it and try to genuinely engage them in conversation, they'll leave. Most people who are mean or "weird" online are mostly doing it for shock value.

The only slightly irritating one I had was a German who would only say "fc?" I don't know if that's because she didn't know anything to say in English (I do know a bit of German but not enough to be useful) but yeah. Look I'm not giving you my FC, I don't even know you and you're not exactly helping me get to know you.

Other than that it's just Japanese who leave as soon as I arrive :( I very rarely find anyone who wants to do any tours or interact in any way.

A Japanese girl thought I didn't understand her when she was slurring the crap
Out of me. I told her I know what your saying and she said no you don't
And I reappeared it back in English (censorship everywhere). That girl was eh...

I always go 'around the whole wide world' thing. I met this weird boy from... german I think? He kept asking for my fc and acting weird so I left. I caught a few bugs and when it was obvious I was getting a bug, but he caught it. I left and then he flicked the switch when I was even though he caught a crap load of fish and bugs. His loss, not mine xD

I just really hate when people chop all the trees and shovel up all the bushes, JUST to farm, DO THAT ON YOUR OWN ISLAND GJDLKFJDFJKLAJK.

I went to CT today, and I met with 3 other girls.
In the middle of a tour, a girl said 'Why is everybody being mean?'
I was baffled. If anyone was being mean, it was her.

I've been to Club Tortimer once or twice, and I guess it was perfectly okay! ^w^ Although I don't really want to have one of those 'horror stories' on it that people keep saying about..

I've had a lot of crashing too. T^T

While I'm playing on the island there's suddenly an error and it takes me back to my pier ;-;

Some of these experiences are really horrible! My only two bad experiences were when two people (on separate occasions) asked me to "Have s** with them."
....
No. Definitely not.
I block people if they act weird to me.
But some people have been nice, too. I've had more good than bad, luckily.
