i think you cant adopt the sanrio cards from other players c:

I saw this post here, and saw it was possible, however apparently you have to be the owner of the card to move in a villager. D:

Yeah... Unfortunately unless you actually own the card and can scan it into your game, you can't get the Sanrio characters. (If you go to someone's town when they are moving, you just won't get the option to invite them. It's so annoying!) I had this problem as I really wanted ?toile so I just had to eventually give in and buy the cards so I could get her >~<
