I love her sooo much she was my first villagers in GameCube and I always talked to her and I’ve been searching for her since NL! Please I love her 
Before getting into New Horizons I had no idea that there was a villager that looked like a golden retriever! I have only ever had New Leaf, and, after a while, there was little time to play. Then I felt so bad for leaving the villagers for more than a month I just stopped visiting the game altogether!! The guilt crushed me, so to this day I still haven't gone back to check, haha.
New Horizons was a fresh start!
So when I first saw Goldie I fell in love with her design because - while the comparison isn't exactly the same - Goldie reminds me a lot of this stuffed dog that my father gave me.
The main reason I mention it is because.. ever since this whole quarantine mess has started, it's been really hard to see him. He's out on a boat at sea, and with the state of things, I am unsure as to when I'll get to see him again because he is also military (dubbed as essential worker).
It was not my intention to, but as a result of this, rather than getting all of the cutesy dreamies that I had in mind when first playing, I've been getting villagers that have a more sentimental meaning to me. I've been very lucky to have gotten Apollo who (hilariously enough) has a striking resemblance to my dad, and Fang - who looks like my dog (who adores my dad).
I think it's cute to have those two crankies together, and even though she's a normal type, I think Goldie would be a good fit, too.
Not being able to get Goldie wouldn't be the end of the world.. (the stuffed dog I have is one that I have is a boy, anyhow XD) but since I saw this post I thought I might as well give it a try and let fates decide!
