I've been beginning to wonder how do we classify Pokemon based on whether they're mammals, birds etc. I was looking up all the mammal Pokemon, and I saw that Rattata and Raticate are missing under "mammal" pokemon, yet they are mammals. Would anyone like to help me classify all Pokemon in the following categories?

Here are some examples I have

Mammals: Sandshrew, Sylveon
Birds: Spearow, Moltres
Reptiles: Charizard, Feraligatr
Fish: Magikarp, Chinchou
Amphibians: Mudkip, Poliwhirl
Invertibrates: Before I go over some examples, all of these Pokemon are insects, crustaceans, mollusks, and any animal that have no backbones. Examples are Krabby and Wurmple
Plants: Bellossom, Roselia
Other (like rocks or non-living things as Pokemon): Magnemite, Grimer

I know there are like 720+ Pokemon, but try giving your best shot on classifying Pokemom in these categories. We know very well on elements and generations. You don't have to name all of them in one post in any category (unless if they are small categories).

no pokemon are mammals because mammals give birth to live young and pokemon give birth to eggs
