What if Chip is retiring from hosting the tourneys to start a business in collecting wood?
Beavers normally build dams right? So what if Chip has elected his relative to take his place running tourneys and is now moving on to building dams. We've never had a dam built in AC before!!! (ू′o‵ ू)*✲ﾟ︎♡︎♪︎

This makes me think that this could be how Harvey's island camping ground is made or how we can generally expand our island and create ponds. This would definitely add to customisation!!! (⑅︎ ॣ•͈૦•͈ ॣ)꒳ᵒ꒳ᵎᵎᵎ

I'm just going to add to this.

What if there is a construction TEAM?
They would be a unit of:

Resetti, Don Resetti, Chip, and Lloid.

☆The Resetti Bros would be the miners
☆Chip the landscape developer
☆And Lloid working in the quarry

Then, you'd have Re-tail nearby as a special crafting store...

Ok forgot to mention that...

By Chip building dams, you can change the course of your rivers and therefore alter your island. He would be able to redirect your river to another location! I'm sure this has to be the way for complete customisation and completely unique islands!!! ㄟ( ⁰ 3 ⁰)ノ

My prediction is that Chip will remain as the Fishing Tourney guy, but the new NPC that looks like him will run a bait/fishing accessories shop! But your ideas about dams could lead to some very complex customization. I want to create ponds...

I thought Chip's relative was going to do the bait too but I guess if Chip does retire, that would be a pretty chill job for him ☆〜（ゝ。∂）
