Im losing chief because someone's voided villager got thrown into my town, and after 20 hours of time traveling, a mishap has caused Chief to decide he doesnt want to live here anymore. i wont name the person, but im extremely upset with them now, as its caused me to lose someone i love. so in summary

would also like information about how long it takes to get back a lost villager.

bummer for you. it's a lot of work & a long process to get the villager back. you'll have to cycle out 16 other villagers from your town before you can adopt Chief again

Wow, I'm terribly sorry to hear about that. I've had similar mishaps in the past and one caused me to lose my favorite villager of all time, Daisy. I never got her back yet. I have room in my town, if you are either selling or giving away Cheif.

apparently before they patched QR injection, you could snap a code to un-box a villager. but because of nintendo's complete and utter disdain for code-editing, any and all save editor attempts are patched before people can even hear about them...
