He's a dreamie of mine <3 And there's always someone offering IGB(In game bells) in exchange or there tbt which is forum currency. On here, people either change villagers this way, with IGB or through tbt. If you're looking for tbt trading in general theres a different thread for that. Also, welcome to the site! ^^ I'd be willing to offer IGB for him, that is if you're interested; 4mil sound good? ((If you're not satisfied with the price i'll be willing to go higher. I also completely understand if that's not what you're looking for.))

Oh! Well, that would be great! A friend got me the game for Christmas and I just created my town on Jan 31st so I'm in need of zillions of bells. I didn't know home expansions were SO EXPENSIVE! *sobs* I can only imagine that it'll get even more and more expensive. I visited my friend's home and she has a fully expanded house (I think, anyway) with multiple huge rooms and different floors and the whole works!

This will (obviously, I'm sure) be my first time 'selling' a villager. How exactly does that work? I know you have to come talk to him when he's in boxes, but how long before he's packed up if he just told me he was moving on the 15th earlier this morning?

Have you time traveled at all since Chester has said he's moving? If not, then time travel to the date he's said to move. Then we'll exchange friend codes, you can open your town gates, and i'll come over with the bells. I'll have to make trips into your shopping area though to get all the bells. After I dump all the bells, where ever you please, you can escort me to Chester! I'll talk to him and once done you can end by hitting the start button.

I've heard about time travel, but I'm not sure exactly what it is, and someone told me it was borderline cheating... Will it affect anything in my game at all if I do it, and if not...how do I do it lol!

(Gosh I feel like such a noob. I haven't picked up a new game in years, this is such a strange feeling!)

Everyone's opinions on time travel differ. Some people choose to wait it out, others don't. The only way time traveling affects your town is by making weeds form here and there. If you have no one moving out when your time traveling, you'd risk having villagers randomly move in or out, depending on the amount of villagers you have. Since Chester is moving out, the only thing that will happen is that you'll gain weeds; if you have the beautiful town ordinance, it helps combat that. By the way, time traveling backwards doesn't alter your town at all from what i've gathered, and i've plaid this game since the release date.

Also when done with the exchange you can close the thread from further responses by clicking the edit option on your original post, then going to the advanced edit. Scroll down to the bottom of the thread and there's a box that you check that says close thread. Then you can change the title if you want or leave it as is, and hit save so then no one can bother continuing to post. ^^

If you want to wait till the day he moves out, feel free, but you'll have to find someone else; I have an anime convention in a different state that occurs on the 15th, so I don't want to botch the deal.

I assume I just edit the time settings in my DS itself to make it say today's the 15th? Does it matter what time at all? Like, can I just change the date or do I need to mess with the time too?

(So scary, doing something new, eeek.)

You don't have to do it that way. The way I do it is when you start up the game and talk to isabelle, hit the I need help option then set the time. Input the date you want to go to and tada! Once done, feel free to save the game and repeat the same steps, but instead of setting to a forward date, go back to todays date. Or you can stay that date, it makes no difference except you'll miss the fishing event and valentines day.
