This may be a bit of a dumb question, but do cherry blossoms grow in April even though your town`s native fruit isn`t cherries? I heard about this before, and someone had said that your native fruit has to be cherries.. do the non fruit-bearing trees blossom as well?

Your native fruit has nothing to do with it. :) I think only the non-fruit trees turn pink; fruit trees and cedar trees stay normal. I think.

Hmm, not positive because I've never experienced ACNL in April, but I think it's safe to assume cherry blossoms will grow regardless of your native fruit, because then it would be unfair for people with native fruits with apples, for example - and I don't think the creators of animal crossing new leaf would do that. :)

I think you're right. :) I would be complaining if I couldn't have cherry blossom trees, to be honest! And what I mean is, I would want cherries if I could only get cherry blossom trees from them!

The above is right. Only non-fruit trees turn pink. Trees with fruit and cedars stay green in Spring.

I have watched Youtube Lets Plays of the Japanese ACNL. The non-fruit trees turn pink in early April and pink blossoms/leaves fly through the air. It is so pretty. I can't wait until next April.
