So this char is only around waterfalls says the internet. So which waterfall is it. The freshwater one or the one going into the ocean. And if it's the latter is it at the top still in the river or in the ocean at the bottom of the waterfall.
The one going to the ocean. I caught mine in the area of dark water you can't swim through, standing on top of the waterfall and letting my fishing line wash down it. The char was swimming in and out of the waterfall foam, so it can be hard to notice.
At the bottom of the lower waterfall is where I have always caught mine. The upper waterfall is so hard to see anything since it is at the side of the map and you can't really get very close to it. They are usually in the foamy part, sometimes you can only see the tail end of them. You can catch them from either the beach or up on the cliff (just have your line go down the waterfall). They are avaliable March - June & Sept - Nov 4am - 9am & 4pm - 9pm.
