Changing a villager's wardrobe

another villager gifted Bunnie this orange outfit that i don't want her to wear so i reported her to Isabelle and i also gifted her the original dress she wears to make sure she would change. i thought it worked but i still saw her around the island wearing the orange outfit some days. today i looked in her wardrobe and saw that she has the option of the orange outfit! (first pic) i gifted her another shirt then checked her wardrobe again but she has two options now. (second pic) is there any way to remove an outfit? i tried searching but couldn't find any information on this

Definitely following this thread since I’m curious as well.

So far it seems that they quickly change into whatever you give them, but keep their original outfits (as well as previously gifted clothes) to change into again at will.

I do wonder how many outfits they can “keep” for later use? Is there a limit? If there is, can new ones no longer be gifted or do they replace old ones?
