Change those CLOTHES!!!

So, recently a few of my villagers have been a bit...adventurous with their clothing choices. How do I get them to change back into something that doesn't look absolutely hideous?

1. Put the clothes you want them to wear in your inventory. Also your tools and a flower or two for good measure. Do this one at a time, though!
2. Find the villager. Save and continue.
3. Talk until they space out or ask for your shirt. If they do and you give it to them but they don't wear it immediately reset. If they do wear it, hooray! Save and repeat for the next villager.

You can also mail them clothes that you want them to wear.

The only bad thing about mailing clothes is that sometimes they'll put it in their house instead of wearing them. I think it usually happens when they have a space open in their house for a new piece of furniture.

In my town, Punchy does not want to change his shirt back to the gray tartan tee, and I've been mailing that shirt to him like crazy. They will place the clothing in their house, but Punchy has actually replaced his refrigerator with that shirt. If you want to mail an article of clothing to your villager, mail it before 5 p.m. so they'll receive it faster.

Can not wait til tomorrow. Hopper, you will be changing into a Varia Suit. Even though I only have one, and it is the second hardest fortune cookie item for me to get, I don't care! He is my friend and I am happily giving it to him.

I am also hoping to get Hans into Hero's Clothes!

I am sick of ruining my villagers house with spamming them clothes so I let them wear whatever they want just no duplicate =x

Aaa, I'm going to try this now. My villagers are running around in that duck tee tank + white Anytown shirt from the Able sisters and it's driving me up the wall.

If I want them to change clothes, I order the same shirt 3 times. Then I attach them to 3 letters and send it. They always wear the shirt the next day

I designed a Superman shirt and put it in the Able Sisters' shop. Rosie and Rolf are wearing them. I'm kind of over that look now, and I want them to wear something more presentable. But that's a lie, because I changed the Superman shirt into a backwards shirt. xD So if I see any of my villagers wearing the backwards shirt, I'm going to laugh.

It's really weird to me how they can hang on to custom designs even after you remove them from the shop.

I've got one villager that's been wearing a custom design I made ages ago. It hasn't been in the shop for 3 months now. I have no idea if she's ever going to change it. I actually removed it from the options specifically to get her to change the thing, but she's stuck on it. It's particularly funny since it's a fake suit and tie, and it's an uchi refuses to let it go and change her clothes. Tomboy indeed...
