I have been playing the game on-and-off for a bit. Last time I played was on New Year’s Day to do the countdown celebration with the islanders. It was also the last time I booted up the game when I was excitedly waiting to order my 2023 balloon arch like I did in 2021 and in 2022… Unfortunately, I was saddened to learn there were no more arches to be had :C

I turned on the game today and spoke to a few of my islanders. Sherb was busy fishing for snacks in the water, Audie was standing in front of her house lifting weights to stay in shape, Walt was in his house drinking what looks like a cup of tea to stay warm during the cold season, Tangy and Dom were watching a show by K.K. Slider.

I decided to visit dear old Brewster since it’s been a while since I had a cup of coffee. He also makes the best cup of coffee on the whole island. The coffee was too hot at first and I let it cool down a little bit before I drank it. WOWSA. What a delicious cup of coffee! I was also delighted to see that I earned some Nook Miles rewards for drinking 5 cups of coffee from Brewie!

Today, I was busy and didn’t have too much time to fully do all the chores on my island today. Instead, I decided to do the basics of cleaning up any fallen branches that I had laying about near my trees and to clean up any weed patches that were starting to form. Let me just say, there was an area that was OVERRUN with weeds since it was an area that I seldom checked D:

I also decided to look for the glowing spot to plant my money tree in. But no matter where I looked on my island, I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere where they usually spawned… I dejectedly went back to near my house’s garden to harvest some of the produce.

LO AND BEHOLD! THE GLOWING SPOT WAS SPOTTED! I would have never found it during the daytime if I didn’t go near my garden!

Today, I decided to go see Kapp’n the captain of the ship, to bring me to one of the Kapp’n Islands. It had been a while since I last visited one and thought it was time for a ride!

Kapp’n took his payment before I boarded on his boat to head to a Mystery Island. What awaited me ahead was a mystery to be discovered! Kapp’n serenaded me with a little song as I enjoyed the ocean breeze and we soon arrived to an island of some sort.

He dropped me off and awaited me at the docks as I explored the islands. I harvested all the coconuts from their trees to make use for drinking its juices to give me strength. I did find a bunch of glowing moss and some hanging vines which were definitely useful and not found on my home island!

Once my pockets were full of fish and other items to the point I couldn’t carry on anymore, I decided to head back to my island.

(I was dismayed to learn that I could not use my storage closet on the island to have unlimited space)

Today is Sherb’s birthday! Can you believe that it’s already been nearly 3 years since I’ve had this game! My, how time does fly by~

I actually didn’t know it was Sherb’s birthday, but Isabelle was very helpful to let me know in her daily announcement that it was the snack boy’s birthday. I went to rummage around my orchard of trees to gift him some fruit since he loves eating the freshly picked ones.

I took a wrapping paper and wrapped up 2 peaches to gift to him and he was thrilled to receive them. Pietro was also in Sherb’s house to celebrate his birthday!

All in all, it was a fun birthday party the three of us had eating cake and fruits!

There was a camper at the campsite today! HURRAY! I wonder who was in the campsite today?

I decided to clean up some weeds around the campsite area first to make it more presentable before I went to see who was in it.

It was BONES! I never had them before, but my current villager list was quite sufficient for me for the time being. I thought that I should at least talk to them before heading out again. Instead, Bones asked me if I would be interested in playing a card game…

They said that if I won, I would win a cycling cap. The point of the game was to correctly choose a card suit. I chose SPADES… It was wrong… It was CLUBS. Alas, it was not meant to be.

I was walking around my island to look to see if there was anything I could write about today. I did my chores of weeding and picking up branches that littered around my island. It took some time before I managed to track down my glowing spot, but overall, there was not much to do today.

UNTIL I stumbled upon Walt singing in front of Resident Services! My cranky kangaroo was in the mood to be singing loudly AND he even was singing in front of a live audience!

Since Reneigh and Dom were sitting down in front of him listening to him sing, I decided to sit down with them to listen and sing along!

There seemed to be an unconscious bird on the beach of Cerësia today. Fortunately, I was there to wake him up over and over and over and over and over again before he finally regained consciousness. It took some effort, but I finally managed to wake him up!

He asked that I walk around the beaches on my island to look for communicator parts that exploded from his phone when he was marooned on my island. Buoy, I canoe believe it!

Looking around my island, I began to dig and dig and dig for any sign of communicator parts.
AH HA! I found them all and went back to Gulliver so that he could contact his ship mates to bring him back home.

I also managed to sneak in a stretch exercise session with Gulliver since he was awake!

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

Isabell greeted me with a Happy Lunar New Year announcement before saying that there was someone in my campsite (again!) It was only a few days ago that I had a camper. I was surprised to see I had someone else so soon.

I went outside of my house to decorate the Fortune sign on my door to wish for luck and prosperity before going to eat a BIG morning meal at my table. It was a very filling and scrumptious meal to be had.

Once that was done, I went to visit my campsite to see who it was.

Another villager! Though, he was one that did not really fit the aesthetic of my town. So, I decided to let him camp without inviting him.

Label was in front of Resident Services today, but I was not really in the mood to be running around and looking for clothes that would meet her approval. It just one of those days when you do not want to have to get out of bed to dress nicely.

I did however, make some cherry jam to eat in order to have some strength to dig up my money trees that I shook and now were just regular hardwood trees. I went to sell them to Timmy & Tommy, though I’m not really sure what they did with all my trees I gave them. Maybe they use it?

I also noticed Raymond pondering around and decided to ignore him. There’s a high chance he might want to ask to leave and he isn’t one that I want to leave yet. I have others that I am more open to leaving, but not Raymond.

For the past couple of days, I have been trying to improve my friendship with Petri, who is my newest villager, in order to get her picture.

I have even been diligently going to see my fortune with Katrina to increase my friendship level with Petri. But alas, that scientist of a mouse does not seem to want to fork over her photo picture. Perhaps it is because she knows that she is only a temporary resident on my island before I let her go.

I have now lost count how many times I have visited Katrina.

Petri, please…

I even gave you lucky money on the Lunar New Year…

I decided to pick up my game again after a little break. After all, Valentine’s Day is coming and I want to make sure that my villagers give me chocolates on that day!

I went to Petri in hopes that our friendship was high enough to finally get your photo. Nope, still not yet. Though, I suspect it might be any day now since I’m sure we’ve maxed our friendship.

After finding my glowing spot, I noticed two Xs and dug them out and found some gyroids! I have absolutely no idea where the third one is, but truth be told, I didn’t look very hard.

I noticed Sherb was home and saw he was busy cooking. He gave me the recipe for Bread!

After that, I went back to my house to do some organizing and LO AND BEHOLD! Petri decided to come for a visit to my humble abode! She gifted me a pear and then wanted to play a card game with me of High Card, Low Card… She drew a 5… Really, Petri? There’s a 50/50 chance… And I chose wrong
