Has anyone played and finished this? I was unable to stop playing once I started but wowow difficult D: I mean I did it on Normal mode, was that crazy? I read something about people asking Atlus to patch it with a Very Easy mode because even Easy was too hard. But Normal felt Normal. Lol I got *spoiler* the Catherine ending I guess. Aka Freedom. Aka Vincent goes to hell I guess? LOL How embarrassing I was steering him toward Katherine but at the last second he surprised me. Nonetheless it was an extremely satisfying game, that I've never seen anyone mention but it's quite awesome. Best described as Q*bert with a dirty anime in the background. Even the box is quite provocative isn't it? The PS3 & 360 versions have unique box art to their own.

It was the first disk I got for the system. I don't even remember seeing it come out when it did. People need to know of it's existence

It's rather too long to play again imo. Especially with knowing the story :( lol cool that they gave it away for PS+ once though

I thoroughly enjoyed playing it, ended up with Katherine but I'm not sure if it was best ending possible or not. Had gone through on the Hard/Normal Difficulty but ended up lowering it at Baby with a Chainsaw.

I think that's technically the "good" ending. It's the ending where you're doing what I think society would want you to do, which is ending up with your girlfriend aka the human instead of the succubus/devil's daughter, which is the freedom ending that I ended up with lol The ending really got me thinking, Midnight Venus said it's not a black and white ending and there's not really a bad ending, it's just about what you went for. So if you went for Katherine you seemingly just may want a normal life, or would do "what's right", versus ending up with Catherine is more of a "do as I want, no one's gonna tell me what to do" lifestyle, and Vincent just gets to be lazy with his lover instead of doing work.

Sounds like a perfect life to me XD

Well they did have to move his apartment to hell or something that looked like it.... but they get to be funky all day and just be lazy and do whatever which is cool too.

I bought the game even though I didn't own a PS3 at the time... I was super desperate to play it/am an Atlus faithful. But my friend let me play it at his house and I loved it! No gonna lie I was super bad at it and needed his help on a number of the puzzles. I ended up going with Katherine in the end. Yeah it would be rad to get with a succubus, but I would have felt really guilty about it.

Truly guilty. Atlus faithful for the win!

I really want to replay this game now.

I felt guilty too at first, but (unless the story changes depending on your path), *SPOILER*Katherine didn't seem interested and was indecisive like Vincent. After she found she wasn't pregnant she seemed like "ooh well... w/e then", even though in my plot you end up saving her from the succubus in that crazy dream, I guess at least Vincent gets what he wants and Katherine doesn't have to deal with his nonsense, I assumed that she can just move on and find someone better than Vincent who will give her what she wants. I suppose in any instance it all works out. Although I'd love to know what Vincent's friends thought happened to him, since Vincent isn't really on Earth anymore.

YES ATLUS. I've blindly bought their games multiple times and never been disappointed. Technically Catherine was slightly a blind buy. I knew sorta what the goal of the game was, to get Vincent to C/Katherine but didn't know what you had to do.

It's a great game. I usually play through it again once a year. The game isn't hard. Babel on the other hand...

I just have to say that "Symphony No. 9 in E minor From the New World 1st Movement", aka the song that first plays during the ice theme levels, the game's remix of it epitomizes the whole game to me. The ups and downs and the drama in the song lol I had to download it.

I started the game on the hardest difficulty and then had to start over again on normal. I still never finished it. But I love the soundtrack and the fact that it plays Holst's Jupiter. :)
