Cartridge Hard Copy Questions

Is there bugs with the cartridge copy. Because sometimes when I walk around my island. Certain decorations doesn't display promptly, not until after a couple of seconds when in the view radius?

Also is the save game data for the cartridge copy. Entirely different from the digital copy. Because I'm thinking of switching to the digital copy and selling the cartridge copy. But I don't want to lose my existing island because our local games store told me that cartridge game save data is stored on the actual cartridge and not in the console memory?

Save data is saved to the console (to be more specific it's saved to your user profile), not the cartridge.

Ok. Also if I was to get the digital copy would that help the game to play better without stuttering in framerate?

Nope, this doesn't have anything to do with cartridge or digital copy, because I have a digital copy and sometimes get bad framerate issues or pop-ins. What it seems to be is that, decor on the island loads out of the game as to not take up memory when its off screen, only to load in when it comes on screen. The pop-ins happen worse sometimes than others but its never been too big of a deal to me? On my own island, my switch fan runs quite loud (though not terribly so), and I've gotten dropped frames in a few places on certain days, and my island isn't even horribly cluttered.

Amount of stuff seems to directly correlate to dropped frames and pop-ins, not digital versus physical copy.

Objects popping in is a problem with this game when an island has a lot of items, I have a cartridge version and my island doesn't have pop-in issues, but when I visit another island that does have a lot of items, I do get pop-in. It is entirely based on how many items are on your island, and it happens regardless of version

Ok. Looks like I just have to make do. Because I have half of my island fully decorated.

Actually it only happened since I've got a lot of mannequins out on my island. Since I'm force spawning the rocks to a specific area on my island. Could that be what's causing the slight lag?

That’s probably it. Any area in an island that has a lot of items will start lagging or having pop-ins
