can't get requests for pwp?

i've been using the diving technique (with a full inventory and no bells) to try and get a pwp and so far i've been trying it atleast 5 times a day but i find myself giving up easily because my villagers keep asking for catchphrase changes or what they like most on a scale?? i've been trying to get ONE pwp for a week and so far there's been nothing and it's frustrating me LOL

If they're pinging for anything else except for PWPs, then it could just take a long time. Hours, even. Just make sure every hour you talk to a villager to make sure the "You should take a break" method disappears since this stops villagers from pinging anything at all.

Another reason could be that you already have all PWPs from the personality types of villagers who are outside. For example, you may have all Normal and Peppy PWPs that can be suggested so they obviously can't ping anymore.

you just gotta try more than 5 times. youll eventually get a request. ive taken like 3 hours of trying, i just do it until i get a request

Make sure you have a decent reputation. I've heard you need a good relationship with the villagers to get requests. I got nothing when the rumor about me was that I was an individual. I'm trying again now that I'm a pro listener.

Update: It worked. I got a pwp on my second try. Not for something I wanted, but at least it was SOMETHING for the first time in weeks of trying with a bad reputation.

It can definitely take more than 5 times. Sometimes it takes hours of doing this. I just watch stuff and leave my 3DS on the side. It's actually what I'm doing right now. ;v;

i actually agree with this lmao i used to reject everything my villagers wanted me to do and didn't really talk to them much because i wanted some of them to move out, but i started getting a good reputation and i got 2 pwps in a row( i tt'd a day forward in acnl )

I got like 4 pwps left and I gave up trying to get them since they are so difficult. I don't believe your reputation has anything to do with it since I was TTing through 2 months,completely ignoring all of my villagers except one, and magically got a pwp from a villager when I was running passed them. My town is not perfect either.

Pwp finding drains you. If you have less than 10, I highly suggest not trying to farm for them. They're too much of a pain. I practically wasted my entire day to get a PWP from my 2 snooty villagers(one of them I moved solely to get snooty pwp) and one jock villager. Enjoy the game, don't struggle. D:

I don't know if it's a rumor, but I hear that having good relationships with your villagers helps get the PWPs faster.
For me personally, the diving technique takes at least 5 tries, but that's not too bad, considering each try can take as little as 5 minutes. While you're waiting you can do something else, like read or do chores, so that time seems to go by faster.
Just keep trying and you'll get it eventually!
