Cannot get a villager to move to a friend's island despite having open plots. Any ideas why?

Hey guys! I currently have a villager, Erik, in boxes. A friend online wanted him, so I invited her to my island so she could convince him to move to hers. Unfortunately, though she talked to him in his home several times, he would not offer the prompt to have him move to her Island.

In her current game progress, she has those three plots of land set up, each with their item checklist completed. One villager has already moved into a plot, but the remaining 2 are open. If she could convince Erik to move, he would be her fourth villager respectively.

Is there something else making her ineligible to recruit a villager from a friend's Island? Does she need to have more villagers before being given the option to recruit villager from a friend's Island?

One plot reads "sold" and notes that Stu is moving in. The two remaining plots are yet unsold.

Ohh one of my plots said sold and I tried to look for a villager but There weren’t any on islands
it probably has to do with that

you can only move 1 Villagers in per day. Maybe that's why

That may actually be the problem. Erik is a lazy villager. I believe stew is a lazy villager as well. From my recollection, it tries to assign a normal, a peppy, and a lazy to the first three plots. I didn't even think of that!

That could definitely be it too. I'm a suggest she time travel forward one day to see.

I'm almost certain that you can't invite villagers from anyone's island for those first three plots.

I think you have to get those from the tours. If she's willing to time travel, she could do the tours to fill those two, then plot for Erik.
