Can you scan an amiibo character multiple times?

Me and another member here are wondering if you can scan the same amiibo character multiple times? We would just like to verify just in case! Thank you!

yes you can

You need to scan an amiibo card in more than 3 times for them to move into your island. I have already done that for Kiki.

You can scan them in, boot them with a different amiibo, or maybe they move naturally, then scan them back in as many times as you want...

You also can get the same amiibo villager back onto your island if you let them move out.

Sorry I should have clarified in my post. I was just asking in regards if someone can scan a villager in and then move them out to give to someone else. And then rescan that villager to keep for themselves
