My Marshal is in boxes right now, and I'm waiting for someone to pick him up but I'm also trying to get another villager, Baabra. Can I adopt her now? Or do I have to wait? Please explain how I should pick her up if I can! (I have 9 villagers right now BTW, including Marshal)
Can you move someone in when you have someone in boxes?

I'm not really sure, but I'm assuming you can. Because you have nine villagers, there should be room for you to invite another one in.

If you have 9, you can invite someone to move in.
The only thing is that I believe it will take an extra few days for Baabara to move in. Don't quote me on this, but I remember some people posting about being in the same situation as you and freaking out that they didn't see a plot the following day. If you want to do the reset trick, I'd still suggest doing it tomorrow in case she does move in tomorrow, but don't be alarmed if there's no plot. If you plan on time traveling, you can't just skip ahead two days either. You have to go one day ahead, save, then continue moving forward.
Again, I might be wrong on the last point since I don't have any experience with it. I've only heard of other peoples' stories.
