I’m really unsatisfied with the state of my orchard, which is just a plain fenced in area with the trees in rows. I would love to see pictures or DAs with more unique arrangements for fruit trees to get inspiration, please and thank you. :)

I've seen some cute ones online that made use of the fruit themed cardboard boxes but never had one myself unless you count my entire island being covered in foreign fruit trees back in April. 😅 Right now I have a few different fruit trees just scattered around the island

My orchards are temporary anyways since once you get all of your villager's photos, you don't need quite so many fruit trees around. But I'm keeping them in place to be a space to clear out when farming vegetables presumably comes into play this fall

I know of the datamines but don't give me hope like that!

here’s my small basic orchard in Arctin. It’s 2 by 2 (native peaches grow wild) with 3 trees on the top row and two on the bottom per cell.

Here's mine! I've made some minor changes since taking this pic, but it's still more or less the same. Here's a link to the fruit designs, if you like 'em. (I didn't design them)
I've basically got two rows of three for each type of tree (besides peach, I have peach trees scattered around my island as they're my native fruit and I want their presence to feel more natural- though some villagers/characters have some of the other fruits in their yards, but I rarely harvest those trees).

Wait, has it been confirmed as a fall update 🤩

I know about the datamines, too, but I figured we'd be waiting quite awhile for them?

Loving this thread, all the orchards looks great! I'm still planning out mine, so I like seeing how other designed theirs.

I'd guess if they were putting them in it'd be for the Harvest Festival. Maybe in an early November update? I'm tempering my expectations though

I'm loving all the cute little fruit signs

I mean, I'd LOVE that, but I'm also trying not to get my hopes up 😛 November would make lots of sense, though, since it would coincide with the Harvest Festival! Maybe we'd even need to bring the veggies to Franklin to use! But whenever it happens, I can EASILY move my orchard and convert the area (which separates the market from the spooky forest) into a cute little farm.

I would hope that farming is permanent and not just for one event... even if it's just very simple stuff. :) not looking for boku mono levels of farming in Animal Crossing.

Mine are pretty basic. I've got two south river exits, so I have mirrored orchards on the outside of each of those, running roughly 2/3 up the sides of my map.
