Can you demolish bridges?

I know that a town cannot have more than 3 bridges, but would it be possible to say, build one bridge and demolish the other (leaving only 1)? There's a spot in my town that I'd like to make a little more private, but there is a bridge that isn't letting me do that. I don't think I'd want 3 bridges, maybe 2 total.

Yes, you can demolish bridges, including the first bridge from what I hear. However, I've also heard that demolishing and replacing the first bridge makes it count for the limited number of Public Works that you can have at once time. The first bridge originally does not count towards that number.

I don't know if this is 100% true, but I've heard this more than once.

Yeah you can.I'm not sure but I think you would have to pay bells to demolish a community project(I call it community project) :c
