Can visitors invite from a campsite?

I have Midge at my campsite. She is totally my “type,” but I need a cranky villager next. Would it be possible for a visitor to invite her or can only the owner of the island?

Unfortunately no .....

You can not ask a camper from a friends or any players island to move in. Only when a islander is in boxes can you ask them to move to your island

That’s too bad. I was hoping to find her a good home since I can’t take her in.
