Can villagers who we've seen/talked to on islands appear in the campsite?

Was just wondering! I saw Muffy but didn't invite her, so I'm trying a method:

Hoping to get her in my campsite as I super regret leaving the island without her rip. Can she still appear tho? Thanks!

Yes, they can. I've had several reunions with them. So yeah, you can meet her again.

But campsite villagers will never appear again when you ignore them so be cafeful... unless you've exhausted all 390+ villagers using the campsite method.

Yes this is possible because I had Lily show up in a nook island 2 times but yet I found her in my campsite and than found her again lol
