Can this plot be placed one space lower?

I want to place Freya right next to Skye, so I'll have my pink and blue wolfie team. I'm probably going to be very sorry if I don't take the place she's in right now, but I really would like it to be one space lower:

I want it to be lined up with that path. It *seems* like that would put it too close to the cliff, but think about the fact that there is a one space buffer around the house and then look at where Skye's house is in relation to the cliff:

It looks like the same amount of space, with the one space buffer touching the cliff. I really want Freya down there, but I would really hate to throw away this placement if it's impossible.

Sorry for the lousy shots.

I was going to say probably not because of the cliff but...seeing Freya's house and how similar it is, I'd say it's possible. However, sometimes it's a pain resetting to try to get them in the same spot/one space forward. If you're up for that then I'd keep resetting...if it's not that big of a deal and you're tired then I'd say just accept it how it is.

I don't think so I'm sorry :(

Why I say this is because the cliff where Skye is is very vertical, allowing enough space in front of the plot, whereas the cliff is too diagonal where Freya is. You would be able to go one to the left and one down, but I can't tell from the pictures if that will encroach on anything the otherside...

It can, according to your reference with Freya, buuut it's up to you whether you wanna reset just to make it move one space.

It's not a huge deal. This was only my third reset, so I could press on. I'm just afraid it'll be ten hours from now and I'll be saying, "WHY DIDN'T I TAKE THAT SPOT?!" LOL. The biggest deal to me is her having the line of flowers on the left of her house. I think when either Ed or Hippeaux was in that area, they were against the path and there were no flowers. I like keeping that symmetry.

It's really a trade-off. It would be neat to have Skye and Freya's houses on the same exact plane, but being that one step back, Freya will ne on the same plane as Antonio's house, which is off the screen to the right.

Maybe leave it and just move the path up one

Reason being, you may never get it that close again ;b
It looks like a minor fix to me-- just move that one path up one

I also noticed how you said one space buffer, but with Skye that buffer (row of roses) continues further down, and I know you need a lot of space in front of buildings, and the buffer ends short with Freya.

That is a good point and that's the main question I've had. I think you'll be able to walk through there with no problem, so it should be possible, but it's a big gamble. I'm leaning towards rolling the dice and hoping Freya is nice enough to come back to this spot at some point. If it comes back to it, I'll take it the second time. :)

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll be pretty tight and I'd be smart to just take this and forget about it. Ed was there for sure (maybe one space to the left), and it didn't break my village. I wish I could remember where Hippeaux was.

Okay, I'm not going to be dumb. I'm going to take this placement. Thanks for the input, folks! :)

I am SUPER picky with placements, I'm one of those Mayors that need em all in neat lines lol, so I always go over every possibility, and I know there needs to be two free spaces in front of the plot and one around the sides as well.

But honestly I would try resetting for a bit longer just to check, if she landed there on the third try it is highly likely she'll land there again before too long! Good luck :)

LOL! Why'd you have to say that! Now I feel like hitting the Home button before my brain can stop me. :o

It is done. Now, I have to press on. Why can't we just play it like the rest of the world and let them move where they will?

Answer: because her first placment was right on my path in front of a bridge!

When you're plot resetting, do you run all over the map to find the placement, or do you just go to where you want the villager and if she isn't there, you reset?

Sorry! You would not BELIEVE how long it took me to get Skye set up right, she refused to go where I wanted her, I ended up rejigging things and I'm happy where she is now but for a while I was like 'Am I ever going to finish resetting!' Then I got Erik a couple of days latter and he landed perfectly on the 8th reset so it certainly isn't all bad (and now Erik is the prodigal son lol)

I'm sure you'll get her in a nice spot though, you'll just have to soldier on until that point :p

I was lucky to have none of my villagers land in a bad spot before I learned about plot resetting. Next villager that moved in, I tried it. Whitney would have been smack in front of my house.

I check the map as I go towards where I want the plot to be. For Deli though, I didn't know where I wanted him. I let him land in an okay spot. I've got two little village lanes now! c:

I do the second, if they aren't in the spot I want, instant reset, saves a LOT of time, and if there is one spot you really want them I'd suggest doing that as well!

Also Freya and Skye would be so cute together as a little Wolfie lane :D

Yeah, I was going to put Freya up near my house, where Pecan was, but I had to have her next to Skye. They're going to drive Chief wild. Heh. Besides, Pecan never seemed to socialize with anyone and I want Freya to be in the thick of it!

I've got Skye and Chief in line, my faves (Still love you too Erik!) and they talk about each other all the time and just gah they are so cute! I was once going to get Freya as well but I ended up falling for Bam, so he stole her spot!

Freya came around to the spot in my screenshot again, so I'm taking it. Thanks for everyone's help and input, and check your messages in a minute Rochelle. You so nice. :)

Yay congrats! Skye and Freya will be thick as thieves now, watch yourself Chief :D

Ohh I'm checking now!
