Can I see your dream villager lineup?

I’m interested in seeing the variety of everyone’s dream villagers lineups!
Do you go for a variety of all the different personality types, or do you tend to have a majority of one type you favor?
Do you prefer one animal type more than others?
Do you care about colors or house type when picking your villagers?

I try to aim for one of each personality type, but personally I favor uchi (sisterly) and smug types and want more of them in my village. I don’t like jock villagers as I find them annoying. I’m also going for a Halloween theme in my town, so want weird, spooky and/or darker styled villagers! And my favorite animal type is cats.

Merengue, Flora, Diana, Reneigh, Dom, Sherb, Sasha, Chief, Marshal, Raymond. 9/10 on my island (Missing Marshal). If I had to give my aesthetic choice a name it would Soft Pastel.

I will let go of Julian and Colton because they are pair to me and I really wanted Sasha, but if we were allowed to have 15 villagers, this would be my full on Dreamie Island. 2 Normal, 2 Peppy, 2 Snooty, 1 Sisterly, 1 Jock, 2 Lazy, 1 Cranky, and 4 smug.

Species would be: 1 Rhino, 1 Ostrich, 1 deer, 1 sheep, 1 goat, 1 wolf, 1 rabbit, 1 squirrel, 1 cat and 1 horse.
if 15: +2 horses, 1 squirrel, 1 rabbit, 1 cub

I love that grouping! They are definitely a pastel look but there’s a variety of personality types in there.
Sometimes it’s so hard to choose only 10 I definitely want to have Roscoe, Whitney and Lolly on my island as well but we have to make sacrifices

these r my dreamies, honestly almost all of them (every1 except francine, chrissy and fuchisa) are villagers i got super attached to in a few of my old saves and i rlly want them back, rn im having different villagers just 2 freshen things up but itd be great to have everyone back

We have 3 of the same dreamies c:

On my island, I’m splitting it in half and going one side cutesy, one side goth! (in other words, pink and pastels vs black/white)

Cutesy side:
deirdre, henry, sasha, rosie, fauna

Goth side:
Kiki, Lucky, Cephalobot, Shino, Dotty

I already have deirdre, fauna and cephalobot!

This is my current lineup and set of dream villagers! I love them all. I have two wolves and eight dogs with an orange-brown color scheme. Personally, I love this aesthetic.

I currently have my dream villager lineup on my island! (Though, I might want to cycle some villagers in with Amiibo cards for a change of pace occasionally when I actually get their cards)

Sherb - He was actually my first acquired dreamie and I hadn't known he was at the time! I was using NMTs for my first few villagers in the beginning and ran into him. I was immediately hooked and asked him to come home! (Unfortunately, that means he has a starter house, which means I'll have to get his regular home sometime...)

Poppy - I have loved this girl for as long as I can remember and was super stoked when I found her in 20 NMT! She's a huge dreamie of mine and she will always be one of my favorite villagers. (She's so fun to dress up too!)

Lily - Another long time dreamie of mine. I got her very soon after Poppy, (and in even less tickets if I remember correctly?) and she fit in very well with everyone on my island.

Olivia - I ADORE cat villagers. And Olivia is by far one of my favorites.

Tangy - A random find when searching, I immediately fell in love with her and she came home. I have never once regretted bringing her home. She's a joy to have around!

Ankha - I spent forEVER looking for Ankha. I love Eygptian themed things and she spoke to me and I knew I needed her. One night I found a person on the New Neighbor's Network offering Ankha up for adoption and I jumped on it! Thankfully she came home and she'll never be leaving!

Raymond and Marshal - I'm doing these two together because I never intended them to be on my island a permanent residents. I first found Raymond in 65 tickets and not even a month later, Marshal appears in 125 tickets. I thought I could invite them to my island and maybe sell them after I got bored with them, but that never happened! I love them both so much now, I can never see either leaving!

Kitty - She was my first invited villager via Amiibo's. I had recently bought some cards as I wasn't having any luck finding anyone I liked on the islands. After that, I just popped Kitty into my campsite and she was here! (I believe she is the only villager I had in my NL town that I have now in NH...)

Cookie - So funny story. I wasn't sure who I wanted on my island to replace Blanche who had asked to leave. I was hoping that I could get Shino (this was after the 2.0 update dropped). I had jokingly said to my friend the day that Blanche was in boxes that "I hope I get Cookie. She's so cute and would totally fit in with my whole 'pink island' aesthetic". Lo and behold, I found Cookie in 4 tickets. I love her and will never be letting her go. She's grown on me already in the 2 days she's lived here.

These are the one I'm currently thinking about having. I usually set rules for myself like no more than one of a species and no more than two of any personality. But I'm breaking all my rules this time and just having whomever I like! I'm trying to have villagers that are new to me as of ACNH, so some long time favorites are sitting this one out. I typically go for more natural/neutral colored villagers, but I wanted to try to mix it up a little this time.

This next set are ones that I might swap in and out if I don't bond with some of the ones above.

I'm not a big fan of having 10 whole perma villagers... I like to let them go and see new ones come in.
that said, there are a couple I wouldn't mind having on my island that I wouldn't let go of, which are Tammy and Jambette. Roswell is a maybe.
I amassed a number of favorite villagers as of New Leaf and have 2 of them on my island right now(Clay and Tex), but would ultimately like to find new favorites.

Here's my dream lineup. After some brainstorming, I decided to do myself a challenge and make an island with all the brand new villagers + the two newcomers we already know. Reasons are that I find each of the new villagers quite cool (particularly Marlo & Petri the most), besides I'm getting kind of bored with the older villagers since I all know them already and it starts to become kinda lame to use the same villager lineup over and over again. I'm not planning in spending any huge amounts of bells and/or NMTs for any of them on places like Nookazon (looking at you, Sasha and Shino), instead I will try to find them on my own via campsite and island hopping (or if the game is so generous and let some of them moving in on their own randomly).

I think its funny how so many people want Raymond, he appeared in the camp for me, took several tries before I managed to have him say he would replace Graham. While I have Peck right now, I would love to replace him with Lolly. I only chose him from my camp for the Jock reactions, which I now have, as well as his picture. I don't need him anymore, I would kick him out, but I want to keep using that spot, so that's why I want to wait until I have Lolly in the camp.

There are so many awesome cat villagers, with cool designs and personalities.It’s really hard to choose, actually.
Surprisingly, I have had that same thing happen two times already - with one of the villagers you really want moving in randomly. That happened to me with Fang and Dotty, I was really hoping for Fang especially and when they moved in I was so happy! Out of the 100s of villagers, what kind of luck is that??

I think he kind of has a unique look and plus the smug personality is cute. However I’m guessing most the hype is because he’s new, but I agree there’s a lot of other interesting villagers. Personally, I just love Lolly she’s such a sweetheart ☺

yes, she is. It’s one reason why I want her so much. That an the fact she is a gray tabby like my cat Poppy.

I definitely prefer the cat villagers most of the time (most of their designs are really well done and overall pleasing to look at), esp since I see I have four of them, haha! Wolves are a close second with deer not too far behind them.

My favorite personality is smug, but I only have one smug, haha. In regards to my lineup, I at least ensure I have one villager of each personality type. I'd like to even have different subtypes since I have two peppies and lazies, but I really like Audie and Sherb too much to just let them go for someone else with a different subtype. They've been on my island since early last year, and I've grown really attached to them! ^^;

Currently, the only villager I have that I am planning to keep are Marina, the pink octopus, and Roscoe, the black horse with red eyes that can become yellow.
My final lineup will have those two plus Agent S, Amelia, Antonio, Drago, Eugene, Hazel or Quinn (I am going to have one or the other but not both), Judy, and Sprocket. My idea is for my island to be one giant maze leading to my character’s house. Before I get my final lineup, I am willing to try out some other villagers such as any other new 2.0 update villagers or anybody who I really like.

I have been thinking about what villagers I want to have on my island when I start the game again. I am unsure of my theme but I was thinking about going for a ranch kinda feel but i don't know. I mean not all my villagers will look like they reflect a farm or the wild west lol and the whole thing is on an island after all. Either way I like to have every personality type on my island and I don't really aim to have more than one of the same species. I thought about just picking my absolute favorites of each personality and let that be my island but not sure I want to do that either.
The only Villagers I am very sure I will have is Megan and Beardo. I also want to get Elmer and try him out. He just seems super cute.

Ones I am thinking about or considering are
Avery, Vic, Frett, or Gonzo help
Sly or Dom
Shari or Pucky
Carmen, Ruby, Bonbon, Wendy, or Winnie? Leaning towards the rabbits mostly they must have a carrot patch
Baabara, Broffina, or Amelia
Maggie or Molly
Elmer may be replaced with a dog if I don't care for him.
And what I choose in another category kinda effects who I choose in another. Such as Avery and Amelia... I don't want both they have the same music and are both eagle. Shari and Baabara, I don't want both they have the same house music. ect.
And tropical kind of villagers would go on the beach if I have them such as Shari or Gonzo.

It’s almost complete! I replaced Zell with Marshal, and now I just need Shino and Fuchsia!

l wanted to have one of each personality type, for diversity sake, and I made the remaining spots all Peppies. I wanted everyone to be a different species too, but then Shino came along lol. I have Fuchsia’s amiibo now, so I’m gonna have to island hunt for Shino. Wish me and my hundreds of tickets luck! Hopefully I won’t use them all.
