can i convince a villager to stay? made a mistake

i think i don’t wanna let go of maple. idk maybe it’s marina that i should let go from my 3 normal’s because her house is not it (starter).

can i add a new resident last minute before she’s in boxes and convince her to stay? or no thought bubbles would be there for this new villager’s first day?

I haven't tested this myself as I haven't created a second account, but I think a second villager of your own can convince them to stay. At least I've heard of people doing this and it working.

Edit: You can also go to the "Please hold my villager thread" and see if someone can hold her for you as well.

Yeah unless you have a second user on the island it's too late to back out. I'd try to see if anyone out there would hold her for you if you want her back or maybe try to find her again in the future!

it did in new leaf, but i don’t know about a character that doesn’t have a relationship with that villager yet.

i just realized how in new leaf they don’t move the next day. they give a future date, and you have a chance to change your mind as they can ping again some other day.

aww that’s so nice! i actually asked my friends now too, but they don’t have open plots.
i think i’d only be good with someone holding her and getting her back. i think it’s useless for me to meet a new Maple all over again when i already got her pic.
if this is it, then i guess it is what it is at least i got her pic. maybe it’s time to move on.
