Can grass regrow under flowers?

Someone moved out and the grass under their old house is gone. Can I plant flowers over it, and if so will the grass grow back if I don't walk on the flowers?

As long as it isn't one of the "dead spots" where grass will never grow, then yes. The grass will naturally regrow, but planting flowers will help speed up the process.
