Can an Incline be facing north? As in sloping down North?

Wondering if anyone has tried to put an incline in that faces north? I wanna put one into my cliff that faces the Hidden Beach Redd docks on. Is that possible? Has anyone tried it? If not I will be the first I suppose.

yes! i've visited a few islands with slopes down to their secret beaches

If im understanding correctly I have an incline that works that way. If I'm walking west, I have to turn south to walk up the ramp. You can test this out by asking Tom Nook to build one and going to the spot and asking to see how it looks. If it doesn't work the game will tell you and you can talk to Tom again to cancel it.

Yes, as the above posters said you can have inclines facing/descending north.
Just make sure that there's enough free space in the grassy area for it by terraforming your surroundings accordingly.

Yes, my island has a couple.

Yup my incline to my secret beach slopes north!
You might need to clear some space though before you put it in, but it's doable.
