So I've finally chosen a map for Teacake and started with one dreamie (Rosie :3) and found Marshal coming in on my first plot check. Now comes some pre-planning

Planning for Teacake.jpg

Here's Teacake's map. It's a little rough but the dots indicate where I'd place future character houses and the lines represent where I'd build bridges (Rosie's house is a little too close to the existing bridge). The triangle in the far top left corner near the waterfall is where I'd put the campsite if I build it. But given the location, a number of PWPs would look marvelous being so close to the waterfall you can hear it. I know the benefits of having the campsite but I'd hate to lose that lovely space to it if I never actually end up using it. The question is should I build it or not, or perhaps recommend another area, preferably somewhere north so I can surround it with cedar trees.

Another place I'm thinking is over to the far right. That space is currently occupied by Drago's house but I'm planning on letting him go when he asks to move.

I think the campsite would lovely in that area ^^ But you can always hold back on building it until you know for sure if you want to build it or not :)

Either the top right or top left would be perfect, in my opinion. It's a short area so villagers' houses won't bombard it. :)

I'm hoping they'll plot out somewhat like Twinleaf

All my villagers (except for 1) plotted naturally in small community areas.

There's TONS of space on the southern half of the map for plots provided they don't get too close to bridges, the Plaza or Re-Tail.

I agree with everyone else. I like that spot as well. I also have the campsite on the same location in my main town.

It looks like a nice spot for the campsite c:

Or maybe you can put it below, just where the beach starts and surround it with cedar/oak trees, bushes and flowers. That might look good too.

There's also the campsite reset trick where when you can TT around to see a camper always there, and reset to see who is there. It's a great way to find your first Dreamie to be honest

Is campsite resetting similar to regular plot resetting?

Somewhat.. here's a campsite resetting guide (taken straight from here):

1. Make sure it's a new day and you have not loaded up any preexisting characters yet (mayor or others).
2. Create a new character and run to the campsite. If there?s a tent, good for you! Check to see if it?s a camper you like. If not, reset (home button, close ACNL game).
3. If you like the camper, talk to Isabelle, create a house plot, then talk to Isabelle again to save your game.
4. Quit from your new character. Your town is now saved with the camper you like. You may delete your new character.
5. Log into your game with your mayor. Make sure you are on the SAME day.
6. The camper will be waiting for you at the campsite. Yay!
[Tip: Chances of a camper arriving are higher on different days. If you?re not getting campers, TT to another day. Be careful not to lose any villagers if you have more than 8.]

If you don't want to get any villagers from the campsite, it may not be worth it at all. I enjoy the campsite even when I'm not inviting anyone because it's a chance to meet villagers I probably wouldn't otherwise, and it can be a good way to make extra bells or get items you don't have yet. :) If that's not worth it for you, don't bother.

I think that location for the campsite is great. It's not in a clunky spot and I like how close it is to the waterfall.

I think this is a good spot. It's out of the way c:

I personally enjoy having the campsite because it's nice to pop in every once in a while and see who's there. Also, it's so cute to see the little igloo in the winter!
