Campsite Method Question

I had Audie as a campsite visitor, but I was not able to get her because she picked Judy to replace. At the time, I did not know about closing the game right away to make the visitor to pick a different villager to replace randomly. Audie kept picking Judy because I let the game save after the pick. So, I ended up choosing Judy staying.

I know the campsite method doesn't give a repeat visitor. Knowing this, I won't get Audie again as a visitor since I already had her at the campsite. However, what happens when I have all peppy personality villagers to visit the island campsite while having all personalities, but peppy on my island? Will I not get any more peppy and get other types only? Will it reset and start giving me peppy visitors I had before? If that isn't case, will getting all of the villagers in the game to visit my campsite/island reset and give me repeat visitors?

FYI, I have access to all amiibo villagers. I can actually try if I can get repeat visitors. I just didn't want to waste my time if I can't get Audie to visit my campsite again lol

To make it simple...the question is...Is it possible to get a campsite visitor you had before to visit your camp again? Sorry for the long post

I believe there are a few people here who had repeat campers. In my case, I have gone over 140 villagers and no repeats.

You might have better luck with islands...

Ah, I see. I got up to around 150 with no repeats for Raymond. I guess the islands might be the way for Audie. Thanks.

You're supposed to save before talking to them, and then press home , close software to play the card game again if they want to force out someone you wanna keep..

Islands are worse luck than the campsite, it rolls for a species and then rolls for what number within that species so it's RNG

the tl;dr if you don't want to read the document is: yes, but only after you've rotated through all (or most!) of the peppies already, so it will take you longer to get her.

To clarify, when you all suggest to save before talking to them, assuming the steps are:

1. Go inside the tent
2. If it's the villager you want, press the - on the Switch to save and end your game
3. Go back into the game, you will now start at your house
4. Run back down to the tent and then proceed

Correct? I see that you mentioned press home to close out the software, is that needed?

Yeah you can introduce yourself and then save before proceeding to pester them to play games to move in. And then log back on and start playing. If its the wrong person you want to leave, close the software and start again. Since you didn't save before tho and they're suggesting judy now it will not work to keep trying.

I experienced what hibiskuuss said. That is true.

When I had Raymond at my campsite, he chose Judy to replace...lol. I closed the game as soon as I saw her name. I played the card game again after restarting the game, then he chose Octavian. I had Raymond replace Octavian.

Sad thing is though, I had Audie at my campsite before I knew how to make visitors choose different villager to replace

I guess I can cycle through all peppy with amiibo and see if I can get Audie to visit again
