OK, so I walked into my campsite and I saw Ankha! It took a while to make her agree to move into my town. I didn't want to wait so I time travelled a day and couldn't find where she plonked her house. So I looked in my campsite and she's still there? When will she move in...?
It can take at least 2 days for campers to move in. I've only ever invited one villager from the campsite so I haven't tried it enough to know the average amount but from what people have reported, campers tend to take a bit longer to move in. If she's still in your campsite after a day that's probably a good sign since she would have vanished otherwise, and you can try to talk to her to check if she's still moving in.
By the way, did you time travel using midnight as a reference? Days in the game start and end at 6 AM. It seems weird that she'd still be in your campsite because I thought they're supposed to leave the campsite first (as normal) before moving in.
