So I turned my town into a cycling one, and I get a lot of campers.
I'm trying to get them in my town, but they always say that they can't leave their hometown's.
I have eight/nine villagers in my town..
I found out recently that getting one to finally agree can be a long and arduous process. It took me over two hours to persuade Chrissy to move in. Now, unless the camper is someone's dreamie I won't spend so much time. Gah...what a horrible feature! I can see letting them refuse a few times...but hours? Honestly? >_<
It depends. If you have less than 10 you just have to keep asking, some will bring it up quickly but others take forever! I think I had to keep talking to a few over 40 times to get them to bring up moving to my town! Just yesterday it took me a long time and then I lost the game she wanted to play to decide if she would move in or not but I went back later and did the whole process again and finally won the game and she is moving in.
Just keep at them, eventually they will say something about moving in (unless you have no spots open)
The pain in the rear withme for Chrissy was that her moving in was almost all we talked about and she refused about a hundred times - no exaggeration. It was literally "they would be lost without me" over and over ad nauseum.
But yes, she finally relented. Just in time, too, as I had about had my belly full of her teasing me along.
It took me over an hour to convince Marshal to move in when he was camping in my town. He said no to moving in soooooo many times before he finally gave in. Just keep at it!
it depends on personality yes. it depends becuase if you have too many of that personality type in your town, like say cranky, you cant have more than 3 of a particular type. SO! if rolf is in the tent and you have cyrano apollo and groucho already in town, rolf will refuse. but if you have no cranky types then it will be easy/easier.
Not quite. I've had four normals (Annalisa, Daisy, Skye, and Aurora) at once.
But besides that, it varies how long it takes. I've heard that the camper will definitely agree EVENTUALLY, but it can take a while. I'd suggest dumping all your items and bells outside and just talking to the camper over and over, and keep asking them to move until they agree.
i found that if you have like crap in your inventory like some furniture or a shirt or wallpaper, the campers will ask to play a game with you for that furniture and if you win they will move in, its worked everytime for me when i did that
