I feel like I usually get a camper early in the week and of a personality my village is low or lacking in, is this a coincidence, or is there a cycle to camping? I'm trying to let my campsite decide my next villager, but am having a hard time because it's just not giving me anyone I like. When I was full I was getting all the good ones, now that I have an open spot? Of course not. Canberra and Biskit aren't cutting it for me.

I haven't taken note if there is a pattern to the campsite but I do have a town where I am wanting to get a 10th villager from the campsite.

Earlier on while I had 7 villagers in this town I got an 8th villager plop down in front of my main bridge between R-Tail & dock (my fault as I had moved the bridge to this spot while villagers were still moving in).
Fixed that by moving the bridge, but it made me plot reset for the 9th villager.

This was an interesting plot reset: - the 9th villager changed with each plot reset (as well as the house location) and I also had a camper - the camper also changed with each plot reset.
So I would have thought you could use the plot reset technique to try for a camper you could live with - (not for a specific villager but a reasonable one).

It's not a coincidence since that's how the game is programmed. Any time there is a shortage of one personality, there's a higher chance of that specific personality showing up in your campsite more often.

For example, when I had no snooties in my town, I had Monique, Francine, and Olivia show up. I passed up on them for Diana who my friend had so that worked out for me. Then more random villagers would show up in the campsite after that since I had a full town filled with every personality.

Other personalities did show up though so it's not set in stone or anything that you would only get that one personality you're missing in the campsite. I did notice though that there were less cranky villagers that camped though since I had 3 in my town at the time. Hope this helps^^ If all else fails just adopt the villagers you want. It's a little less time consuming than campsite resetting.

Totally agree with this :)

I've adopted most of my villagers, I really only have one spot, maybe two if I decide to let someone move. I can't make a decision on my last one or two, so I was hoping my game would help me on this.

I very rarely get campers these days and I wonder why... Seemed there was a time I'd get a couple per week, now I'm lucky to see one every few weeks u____u

It's not a coincidence. The game tends to have patterns in who you get as campers (also, when you have 8 or fewer villagers, your game will try to move in a personality you don't have as well). A lot of it is random but some of it isn't.

I've noticed that I often get repeated campers, too. I've read before that others people have a similar issue and that it might be similar to how the Nooklings will have certain items more often, to encourage players to cooperate.

I always seem to get campers early in the week as well, so perhaps the game is programmed this way. As for villagers, it's like everyone else said. :)

Yes, I get repeated campers too. It actually worked well for me once because the first time Pekoe was camping, my town was full and I was disappointed. But then she came back a few months later and I had room for her.
