Bushes Question

Does anyone have experience with putting bushes right next to the river? Or is it similar to the trees?

I think they work like flowers as I have planted bushes directly next to a pond and they're growing fine.

Aaah that's awesome to hear! I shall plant my hydrangeas then I have a little park and was hoping to make wall at the front of bushes with an entrance but it goes right up to the river. Thank you for your reply!

Thanks! I figured since you can do it with flowers and trees and bushes seem to be considered both and neither, but wanted to check before I started planting willy-nilly.
