Does anyone do a bullet journal? I just started this year! Im really excited about it~
I just want to see others & see if other have experiences with them.

Kind of. I've been journaling for over a year now. Although I do prefer to write my entries in the traditional manner, sometimes I make my entries using the gratitude, drawing,or bullet method. I find bullet journaling to be helpful when I have a lot on my mind and little time/energy to be descriptive, when I need to plan out my week, or make a decision.

Bullet journaling certainly is helpful when you need to be organized or set up a schedule. Using this method did help me out this holiday season. Personally, I thing the hardest part about using this method is staying on track and learning to be flexible when things don't go as planned. This happens a lot to me. LOL. Either way, it's good that you are journaling. Keep it up!:D

typically, i find bullet journaling more of a waste of time for me than anything else just because of the setup it requires. i'd rather have something i can write in traditionally && plan things out in separately that already has set dates, lists, etc. than make my own...

Yeah, if anything I'd just sit and doodle the whole time lol and make it look nice. I have a physical pocket calendar where I write important stuff because I hate having it on my phone. But yeah I just write like meetings and working hours etc so...

I kept one up through most of 2018 (Mid May through late June... uhhhh. Yeaaah that was a bit of an exhausting time xD), and I?ve got a 2019 one going now! I don?t use the /exact/ system, frankly I don?t have enough going on in my life to warrant it, but I?ve found it to be a way better system than already laid-out planners and the like since I can keep it focused on what?s relevant to my life; and the customization aspect has helped keep it interesting xD ADHD & planners are not a good mix most times, so actually having kept one up for most of a year was a massive accomplishment (and the semi-scrapbooking aspect was great since I did a cross country move over the summer).

I?ve personally found it most useful to go with minimalistic weekly spreads to leave room for recording what?s actually gone on in a day, but YMMV ^^

I really wanted to get into it, I just started mine but I'm honestly not sure if I'll be continuing......I'm too wrapped up in whether it looks good or not and I can't stop comparing mine to others :(

This is probably my biggest issue when it comes to planners. When I was younger I used to buy really beautifully illustrated planners with cute characters and sticker sets included (idk that was the thing back then in Korea lol) but I could never "mess up" because it was just too pretty. Even when I changed over to blank notebooks, my only "successful" ones where I actually finished all the pages were the ones that had no rhyme or reason, no boxes to fill or things I had to complete. It was just a blank notebook I used to jot down a brief schedule or information from a meeting because I prefer writing rather than using my phone. But it's the most unorganised and illegible thing ever... which is okay I guess, since I'm the only one that needs to understand it.

Definitely try to keep that kind of approach- ‘I’m the only one who should be seeing this, so what matters most is if it’s functional to /me/‘. Mistakes are gonna happen |D it takes a fair bit of time and skill for those gorgeous layouts, which is a fine goal to work up to! But if all you can do is a brief abbreviated header for each day? That’s also fine, whatever actually keeps you sticking with it ^^
