Top poster on this forum is Bulerias. He has always been a member of the staff. The role of the staff member is not to be the greatest participant.

Except for the IF support forum, none of those are anywhere near as large as TBT, I'd also like to point out that the IF Support Forum is also approaching 6 years old. Don't dismiss a topic as pointless without proof or good reason. Also you can't even begin to claim you know the post ranking of staff members of every forum.

There are at least 5 boards that are bigger or about the same size as TBT. Not that it is relevant anyway. There are also 5 boards that are much newer than TBT (all of them, but 3, were created after TBT). Not that this matters either...

Yes, it does actually. Most of those listed are smaller and newer than TBT, how is that not relevant? And you gave me a list of eleven boards, and yet claim that most boards have staff members ahead of all other members.

I don't see a problem with a staff member being the top poster on the forum. If they spammed, or cheated with the ACP to get there, then it wouldn't be fair. But I'm pretty sure Bul didn't do that.

You gave me 11 forums that are almost all on the same topic: video games. And you think that this biased sample of forums is somehow representative of all message boards? That's what I'm getting, after you make a general statement and back it up with a tiny, unbalanced sample of them. May I ask you sir, are you insane?

It's not a competition, we don't really care about post count in a competitive way at all.

Staff usually are members that are active, and have been at the forum for a while, which would easily explain the amount of posts.
