Ditto is genderless and is unable to produce other Dittos through breeding. This means that it can breed with almost every other Pok?mon - including genderless Pok?mon - and the offspring will always be the same species as the non-Ditto breeding parent. Ditto can't be bred with Unown and legendary/mythical Pok?mon. The exception to this is Manaphy, who can breed with Ditto to produce Phione. Interestingly enough, Nidorina and Nidoqueen can't produce offspring with Ditto (or any other Pok?mon) either... but its base evolution and the Nidoking line can.

In the event you do breed a male and a female Pok?mon together, the female determines what the offspring is 100% of the time.
