I know there's more than enough posts on favourite/least favourite villagers, but I was curious what the ~personality makeup of your island looks like? mostly because I've realized mine is super unbalanced so I'm going to have to do some work lol
male personalities:
cranky, jock, smug, lazy
female personalities:
normal, peppy, uchi, snooty
currently my island breakdowns with 9 villagers at: 1 cranky, 1 jock, 2 smug, 1 lazy, 2 normal, 1 peppy, 1 uchi
I'm also maybe going to be getting another jock so... RIP to the snooty personality </3
I think if it came to it, though, I'd like one less jock and one less smug... I'd definitely want one snooty and maybe another peppy, lazy, or cranky? I don't care too much for the uchi personality (they're very hit or miss though I do love mine, Fuchsia)
I like the variety of having at least one of each.
I have two crankies, two normals, and one of each of the others.
I think I could double up on any of the personalities except for jock and peppy - I feel like they're too niche to have more than one of each, whereas the normals seem less noticeably similar to me somehow. There's only so many times I can hear about muscles or being a pop star.

I'm going to eventually get rid of one of the normals for another jock (one of my dremies, Genji).
I like variety so I have at least one of each at all times. At the moment I've got three normals but I'll be down to two soon.
I don't like duplicating the personalities of my favourite villagers so I want Erik as my only lazy and Rudy as my only jock. I'd find two peppy or snooty too much enthusiasm/sass and I'm not too keen on most of the uchi designs so I guess I'll be after an extra smug or cranky.
I currently have 2 lazy, 2 smug, 1 cranky, 1 normal, 1 peppy, 1 snooty, 1 jock, 1 sisterly! I think I'll stick with this mix, though I'm not a huge fan of peppy.

Two normal, two smug, and one of everything else. After I get the photo from Marina, I think it will be time to let her go. Her slot may become rotating so I can meet lots of new villagers without kicking anyone else. Otherwise it will be a third smug
Currently I have 1 uchi, 1 smug, 2 snooty, 2 lazy, 1 cranky, 1 peppy and 1 jock. I plan to fill my 10th spot with a normal and then might remove a snooty for either a different snooty or another uchi

I'm trying to get one of the jocks(Boone) to leave and 1 lazy or normal so i can get a snooty and a sisterly. im not a fan of the snootys but i need one for the reactions. ive had a few in my campsite but ive let them go cause im trying to get vivian for a friend.
I def want at least one of each, though for now I'm letting most of my villagers come and go. The only two I want for sure to stay atm are Judy and Rudy (lol).
