Blue windflowers breeding from orange ones?

There are several flower guides available that show how to breed hybrids and witch combination breeds determined hybrid. I have gotten some strange ones that are far from any chart tho.. Wondering if anyone gets random combinations like this too, or if it's common and I wasn't aware.

For exemple, I got...
Pink roses from red+yellow roses
Blue windflowers from orange+orange windflowers
Pink tulips from yellow+red tulips (at this time I didn't have not a single white tulip in my island)
White tulips from yellow+red tulips

Just so you know, there were no other colors around

Well, flowers are based on genetics. I don't have the exact combo off the top of my head, but it's possible if the windflowers aren't seedbags.

edit: i dug up the file.

it's something like this:
orange windflowers (seedbags) are rr-OO-WW
but you can still get orange windflowers with rr-Oo-Ww or rr-OO-Ww or rr-Oo-WW

blue flowers are rr-oo-ww so if you cross oranges with rr-Oo-Ww you can get them

The normal combo to get the blue windflowers would be 2 white ones... That's why I don't know what happened

i posted above haha,

the reason you get blues from whites is because seedbag whites are rr-oo-Ww]
but you can have whites with rr-oo-WW as well which wont breed into blues.
blues are rr-oo-ww so the fastest path to them is to breed 2 seedbag whites.

sorry, when I replied your edited post wasn't showing. Thanks for the explanation! Turns out the flower breeding mechanism is much more elaborate than I tought
