Blue roses and purple tulips

I'm trying to grow blue roses and purple tulips.

I combine hybrid red roses with orange roses for the blue rose. Normal red tulips with orange tulips for the purple tulip.

But I keeps giving me red roses, orange roses, red tulips and orange tulips. Is that normal? I hear these hybrids take a very long time to grow.

Also, you're welcome to come over and have 2 of my purple tulips to get ya started! I unfortunately do not have any blue roses yet either

Yeah, it's pretty difficult to breed one :/

But I thought it was two hybrid red roses that can produce a blue rose?

FYI, if you put it on the Beautiful Town Ordinance and water only flower you want to grow hybrids, you'll yeild a lot more hybrids.

I find purple and blue hybrids incredibly difficult to grow from scratch, rely on luck or parent pairs. I have some extra blue roses if you'd like.
