Blood Diamond takes place in South Africa where a man [Solomon Vandy] lives with his family. Suddenly, his village is destroyed by rebels and while his family escapes Solomon is forced to search for diamonds in a river. There he finds a huge diamon and is about to hide it when he is found out by a rebel leader. The Gov't then storms the base/prisonment and arrests him thinking he is a rebel. Danny Archer, a diamond smuggler, hears about this diamond in the prison and lets Solomon free. Danny was a U.S. soldier in Africa, he looks out for nobody, just the diamonds. Eventually they survive multiple attacks and make a pact that when Danny finds his family, Solomon will give him the diamond.
This film is rated R for laungage and violence.... I think it should be rated R because of the horror presented in this movie and the fact that it is true. This movie is amazing in every standpoint. If you think Harry Potter is a good movie, I advise you to redeem your brain and see this movie now.
