"It won't come as too much of a surprise but the recent discovery of 'Bigfoot' has been exposed as a hoax.

Two US hunters, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, last month said they had discovered the body of Bigfoot in a forest in northern Georgia, a south-east US state.

When researchers began to test the carcass encased in a block of ice they found that they were thawing out a rubber gorilla suit.

Steve Kulls, executive director of squatchdetective.com posted on a website that as the "evidence" was thawed, the claim began to unravel.

When the researchers tested a hair sample by burning it - it melted into "a ball uncharacteristic of hair," Kulls said in the posting.

The exposed head was found to be "unusually hollow in one small section".

An hour later as the feet were exposed the researchers found they were made of rubber.

Researchers also found that two samples of DNA said to prove the existence of the Bigfoot came from a human and the other was 96 percent from an opossum."

I don't find it surprising it was fake. What I do find surprising is they needed researchers to figure out it was a rubber gorrila suit.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a phony. I don't think we'll ever find the true
BigFoot, Loch Ness Monster or any other unknown creature to science.
