Best way to get the catalog badges?

I have the bronze badge for getting 20%, but how do I get more than that? Does everything from T+T (and its expansions) count, along with leifs potted plant, all of Mabel & Ables & Labelles stuff, and the shoe store count? Ive just started basically buying up everything new from the stores to try to get more (and selling them after).

Is there an easier or more cost effective method?

Yes. But your stores probably won't carry everything. One easy way is to order from someone with a shop with a complete catalog. There is a lot of region exclusives and dlc as well.

Yes those all count i believe. Idk if there's an easier way but ive just been buying a few sets on here at a time haha

I completed 100% by buying everything from my shops and checking the island daily as well as going on club Tormiter a bunch of times each day. For DLC that I can't get in my country I traded with people online.

Some people offer cataloging for free. That's how I have a lot. That happens very rarely on here though, sadly.

How does that work? Like in order for me to catalog something, I have to pick it up right?

Yep! They had items laying on the ground. You just pick it up and then drop it back on the ground. Then you have it in your catalog! Just watch if the item is unorderable or not (if you want to buy the item later) since if the item is unorderable, you cannot order it from your catalog.

It helps to get organized. Get the smartphone app or keep a list at MoriDB. I found a friend online who was also well organized and trying to finish her catalog, and we would have swaps to catalog items. We doubled our speed to completion that way.
