Best Friend option/chat

Has anyone gotten this to work or have an idea how to make it Work? I thought it was where you can chat with someone even if you aren't in the same town.

YAY! It worked!

When you're in the same town together, click the green icon in the bottom corner. You then click the heart next to the players name and if they click yours you're best friends. It saves when you leave their town (not if it errors out/connection cuts out) so do it quickly if you're having problems.

Then when in your own town (or someone elses), click the heart icon at the top of the touch screen and you can click on their name to talk to them personally or speak to all your best friends at the same time.

Super convinient.
