Benefits of a town reset??

Greetings!

I recently reset my town and started a new one. I was pretty far along with the old one, having most of everything upgraded and unlocked. After playing a fair share of days in my new town, I noticed I was unlocking things like the museum gift shop without having the sufficient number of museum goodies and Cyrus waking up a lot sooner than normal. I tried looking this up but my search inquiry bore me no fruits. Is it possible that things unlock faster after already unlocking them in a previous town? I hope the answer isn't obvious...

no, i don't think so. you may just be unlocking them quicker because you're experienced with playing and certain things may not be as difficult for you...? and if you tt at all that you could move some of the upgrades along as well, since many of them depend on how many days the town or a certain shop has been built.​

Like Crash said, it probably just feels quicker this time around. If you start a new game, everything's wiped.
